Presented in partnership with Femme Folks Fest

The Registry Theatre, in association with Femme Folks Fest and Pat the Dog Theatre Creation, present a lighting workshop for and by women (identifying or presenting). Men represent nearly 70% of Lighting Designers in Canadian theatre; entering the field as a feminine person can be intimidating. This workshop will provide a safe space for all feminine-identified people to learn the basics of Theatrical Lighting Design.

This basic level workshop will cover hanging, powering, and focusing lights, programming them into a lighting board and designing a lighting plot. Registrants will be invited to share their experience and what they wish to learn so that instructors can adjust workshop content accordingly.
