The Last 15 Seconds

On Giving Tuesday, this NOVEMBER 27TH, 2018, MT Space will bring The Last 15 Seconds back to KITCHENER-WATERLOO’S REGISTRY THEATRE for the first time in over five years as part of our annual fundraising event.

MT Space has recently been invited to perform The Last 15 Seconds at the prestigious International Festival of Carthage, Tunisia, and we are raising money to bring our Canadian artists there. In recognition of this, director and MT Space Founding Artistic Director Majdi Bou-Matar will be joining the cast as Moustapha Akkad.

The evening will feature a reception with catering generously provided by local Lebanese-Syrian-Turkish restaurant Arabesque Café, and a cash bar through local co-op brewery Together We’re Bitter. We will be finishing the evening with a live auction of three once-in-a-lifetime MT Space experiences – we hope to see you there!

Kitchener-Waterloo Comedy Festival, The Registry Theatre and GrandWave Entertainment

present

Comedy @ The Registry

featuring Courtney Gilmour with Dena Jackson and Nader Mansour

Your Wednesdays are better with a dose of hump-day hilarity!

Nader Mansour

Nader Mansour offers a fresh comedy perspective with his original take on the middle east and growing up as a Christian Arab.

Nader’s one of our favourite KW funnymen, and we’re happy to have him back to host Comedy@The Registry.

Dena Jackson

Dena Jackson is a Toronto-based stand up comedian, TEDx speaker, writer and host of the Ego Podcast on iTunes and Soundcloud. She writes for CBC Comedy and the Beaverton and her stand-up has been featured at the Just for Laughs 42 Festival, the SheDot Festival, the Guelph Comedy Festival, Gilda’s Laughfest, regularly at Absolute Comedy and on Sirius XM Radio.

Your Headliner Courtney Gilmour

Courtney Gilmour, raised in Kitchener, is one of Toronto’s most sought after comedy talents. She delivered a breakout performance at the 2017 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal by winning the Homegrown Comics Competition and filming a set for Kevin Hart’s LOL Network. Courtney’s victory at the 2017 Just For Laughs Homegrown was the first by a female comic in the 19 year history of the event. Now in 2018 she’s topping it with televised performances at the Winnipeg & Halifax comedy festivals, a triumphant return to Montreal this summer for Just for Laughs for a taping on The Comedy Network, and for the second year in a row she is one of the 42 acts at JFL42. Courtney co-produces the hit monthly show So Fresh N’ So Clean, Toronto’s only clean comedy show and has also opened for a number of prominent headlining acts including Aparna Nancherla, Chris Gethard, Todd Glass, Sasheer Zamata and James Adomian. She has previously made appearances at the All Jane Comedy Festival in Portland, CBC’s The Debaters, and can be heard regularly on CBC radio and SiriusXM Canada Laughs.
